A. My Trip to NY

The Big Apple, ahh, what a great place to visit!  Your job for this exercise is to plan a trip to New York with lots of details and then summarize it as if you had taken the trip and you were back in Montpellier (ie. use of past simple, past progressive, etc)

Now, what to do in the big city? There are a few things to keep mind when making this trip, should we say requirements? Here is the short list that will help you put together your plan:
  1. Departure is from Paris. Tell me how you got there and what you did before taking the flight
  2. Your stay in NY is 3 days
  3. Tell me what hotel(s) you stayed in NY.  Your budget per night is around $250.  Why did you choose this place? (be descriptive).  Link to hotel review page:  http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g60763-New_York_City_New_York-Hotels.html
  4. What places did you visit? Provide an itinerary of your 7 days in NY. Here is a helpful link to the best things to do in NY:  http://travel.usnews.com/New_York_NY/Things_To_Do/   Pick no more than 3-4 things and tell us your opinion of these places/activities after your "virtual" visit
  5. Tells us about your culinary experience in NY.  Where did you go? Pick at least 2-3 restaurants and describe why you chose them.  Here is a link to the restaurant reviews:  http://www.nyc.com/restaurants/
YES, lots of work to get this trip ready and NOT much time.  What are you waiting for? Go ahead and start planning ;)

You will present a summary of your trip to NY at the end of the class in less than 15 minutes.  Watch out, I may have LOTS of questions.  Be ready!
